Our Center
 Columbia Ophthalmology Consultants is a division of the Department of Ophthalmology at Columbia University in New York City. The Department of Ophthalmology is a leading international center for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the eye and orbit in patients of all ages. Advances in care are made through interaction between outstanding compassionate physicians and talented basic science researchers in vision. Another mission of the Department is to train skilled, caring ophthalmologists some of whom will become future leaders of the specialty.
The faculty are selected to provide dedicated and state-of-the-art care in all subspecialties of ophthalmology. Specifically, expertise is available in cornea and external disease, cataract, eye muscle imbalance, diabetic retinopathy, vitreous, macular and retinal diseases, photodynamic therapy, glaucoma, refractive surgery, pediatric ophthalmology, oculoplastics, and neuro-ophthalmology. Ambulatory care sites are located conveniently throughout the metropolitan region, and are equipped with modern diagnostic facilities. Ambulatory surgical facilities are available at the Edward Harkness Eye Institute of New York Presbyterian Hospital. |
